I went to the doctor My life is wall-to-wall doctor's appointments. I guess it makes for a change. The kidney specialist I saw today said that his estimate was that I would have renal failure by the time I was 40. That's 13 years away. I think I was expecting a bit more than that. But... I don't know. I feel alright about it at the moment. Maybe I'll be more upset when it's had some time to sink in. I don't know. - It's funny, but the main question that occurred to me when I was thinking about it in the car on the way home was, do I still want to do my PhD thesis? And, I don't know why, but the answer was yes, a definite yes. It's comforting, in a funny kind of way. - Oh, and star; I got your email but for some reason when I sent my reply it said that hotmail doesn't exist. I'll try again tonight but I just thought I'd let you know in case you thought I'd forgotten you. :) - "I went to the doctor" - Loudon Wainwright III |
